Kid & Teen Classes
Our youth programs are designed to help young artists explore, create, and grow through hands-on fine arts education.
Each 6-week session blends skill-building with creativity in a supportive, inspiring studio environment. Each class meets once a week for 1.5 or 2 hours, keeping group sizes small to ensure individual attention and creative growth!
Weekday and weekend options are available!
6-Week Drawing Classes | $200 per Kid - $250 per Teen
6-Week Oil Painting Class | $300 per Teen w/ Parent Consent
Kids Drawing (Ages 10-13)
Drawing is where creative ideas begin!
In this class, students will experiment with a variety of drawing techniques, materials, and creative challenges designed to build confidence, strengthen fine motor skills, and encourage creative problem-solving.
Through fun exercises and longer-term projects, Amy will teach art history, the elements of art, observational and life drawing, and imaginative artmaking. Each class builds age-appropriate skills while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a lasting appreciation for making art.
All materials are included.
Teen Drawing (Ages 14-17)
Teens develop confidence and control through lessons in proportion, value, and composition with Amy. This class strengthens foundational technique and prepares young artists for advanced work or portfolio building!
Students will work through a variety of guided projects that explore both realistic and expressive approaches to drawing while experimenting with wet and dry media such as graded pencils, charcoal, ink, pastels, and other mediums.
Each session builds on previous skills, allowing students to grow their abilities over time while exploring new ideas, techniques, and ways of working.
All materials are included.
Teen Oil Painting (Ages 15-17)
A colorful step into creative expression! Teens explore oil painting techniques — layering, blending, and brushwork — while developing their own personal style through guided projects on canvas!
Students will learn to observe form, value, light, and shadow through simple objects before developing paintings on canvas using sketches and tonal underpainting. As skills grow, students will explore more complex subjects such as landscapes through guided instruction and demonstrations.
Students will also learn essential tools and materials, palette setup, color mixing, and proper handling of water-mixable oil paints. Amy encourages students to develop their own ideas and artistic voice to build strong painting skills.
All materials are included.

Teen Pottery Camp works with stoneware clay which is much more durable than the earthenware clay used for the Kids Summer Camp. It requires 2 rounds of kiln firing, therefore we are unable to include glazing during camp and camp hours.
Glazing MUST be done outside of camp at you + your teen(s) convenience. Once all their pieces have gone through the 1st round - we will contact you to come back to glaze/paint - then you leave the finished pieces with us to fired for the 2nd round.
Once they are out of the 2nd round we will contact you for final pick-up!
Final pick-up occurs roughly 2-4 weeks AFTER the glaze/paint session
